You’d be surprised at the number of people who will buy something solely based on the seller’s description.  A word to the wise—don’t let it happen to you.  Any time you’re buying any kind of collector’s item, including NASCAR memorabilia, it needs to include a certificate of authenticity, which is basically a written gurarantee that the item is what the seller claims it is.  Be sure you get one any time you buy auto racing collectibles.  Also make sure you’re dealing with a reputable company.  If they don’t seem “quite right”, buyer beware!  It’s probably the start of a bad deal.
