Whilst there is great job diversity in the fashion field you will find that nearly all of those jobs are concentrated in the regional fashion centers which in the U.S. are New York and California. People seeking to establish long term careers in the fashion field will therefore need to be prepared to move. Whilst there are a number of colleges in the U.S. that will offer a Bachelors of Fashion Design, it is harder to find schools that offer a masters in fashion design. Fashion design masters programs tend to focus more closely on the theoretical study of design philosophy, as well as the more technical aspects of sewing and crafting.
