If you enjoy the aroma of richly scented candles, battery operated candles may not be for you.  Among other things, even if battery operated candles came with a scent to them, it would wear off very quickly.  In addition, it is not likely that it would permeate the entire room. That said, battery operated candles may one day be combined with replenishable air fresheners in order to accomplish both goals.  Unfortunately, even this option is not likely to ever be comparable to the scent of a real candle burning.
