I love to watch the design trends and my favorite area is the kitchen.  I have noticed that the popularity of stainless steel appliances has risen dramatically over the past few years and I feel that it creates a sleek and bold look.  I also love all of the granite colors that are available for the counter tops.  Granite is such a beautiful surface and it is very durable and makes quite an impression.  It is a very trendy surface and many homes are adding this type of counter tops to their kitchens.  It definitely makes a great impression and the color choices are great.
