Something most people forget when applying for a new job is to fix their credit score. Employers are taking all types of measures to choose between the different job candidates and one of the criterions is credit score. Other important ones include drug testing and background check. Before hiring anyone, modern companies check the given applicant's criminal and credit history. If any problems are spotted, the given person will fall back in the order and might even be refused the job. So my point is that before you start applying and going at job interviews to discuss your career options, correct your credit score or at least check it.
