The prime purpose of process mapping methods is to make visible all the activities in a business process. The use of appropriate process mapping techniques plays an important role in this. The arrows should be drawn with utmost care in the diagram. Arrows link one activity to another so the direction of the arrows should be carefully marked. At times several arrows emanate from or enter a particular box or symbol. Care should thus be taken while linking the various activities in the map to depict a process.
