While cleaning out the basement a few weeks ago, I came across an older model computer.  I had thought about selling it, but figured I wouldn’t get very much money for it.  I also considered recycling it.  But, I decided to bring it upstairs to see if I could possibly get it to work.  I happened to have a bigger hard drive in my closet along with some memory.  They all seemed to fit, so I started the computer using the fdisk mbr and much to my surprise it worked on the first try.  We now use the computer for back up and for my son’s friends to use when they stop by.
