The Importance of Relief Society
I think Relief Society is one of my favorite parts of Mormon history. It’s not a club for the women, but it was said that the church wasn’t complete until Relief Society was established. We are the largest women’s organization in the world and have done so much work in humanitarian aid. People are surprised to learn that there are still lepers today who need bandages, which one friend taught someone as she knitted some. In mormon history, Relief Society initially started as the women wanted to help in any way they could, sewing garments there were needed and other things. It has evolved into so much more.
